Membership Renewal

Annual membership dues are $ 25.00 with printed magazine, $ 19.00 with ezine. Yearly (non-member) subsciption rates for the Chess Correspondent are $ 19.00 for electronic version (via email), $ 25.00 for 2nd class, $ 31.00 for first class, and foreign $ 27.00 for 2nd class and $ 42.00 via air mail. Send payment to: CCLA, P.O. Box 142, Livingston, NJ 07039-0142.

Play the CCLA Way

CCLA does not keep files on member preferences, likes or dislikes with regard to other members. Pairings are made on the basis of ratings and other Board-approved criteria. Disputes that may arise during play are adequately handled by the Rules of Play. The spirit of Amici sumus (we are all friends) shall prevail at all times.

CCLA Women's Championship

JULY 1 is the closing date for the 2008 CCLA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. Entrants will be lined up according to their ratings. The championship section (highest rated entries) will have a maximum of nine players; the number of reserve sections will be based on the number of entries. This is a postal event (email allowed if both players agree) with a 10/30 time limit. The entry fee is $8; send to CCLA, P.O. Box 142, Livingston, NJ 07039-0142. Summer Server Series

CCLA's server sections use the ICCF web server and a 10/40 time limit. CCLA's Spring Server Series has an Entry Deadline: July 15, 2008. It is a semi-class event similar in structure to the Leadership tournament. Entries are lined up according to their ratings, with 5-7 players in each section and one game with each opponent. There are no prizes. If you have never played using a web server, this is an excellent place to start, as you will be given instructions and your questions will be answered.   Entry fee $6.00 per section.
